Finance Project Manager

Full Time | Fixed Term Contract

Salary: £50,000 - £52,000 per annum

Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Location: Winnersh, RG41 (Hybrid) or Germany/Poland (Remote)
Reporting to: Head of Group Finance Shared Services

Our finance function is currently in an exciting phase of evolution. We are modernising our systems, standardising our global processes, and tightening our controls to build a world-class finance operation.

We are looking for an experienced Finance Project Manager in Finance System Implementation to act as the bridge between our business requirements and our external technical partners. You won’t just be watching from the sidelines; you will be the quality-assurance lead, ensuring our new systems; specifically Medius and Dynamics 365 are fit for purpose, audit-proof, and seamlessly integrated.

The Scope of Work

• You will take the lead on several high-priority initiatives, ensuring we hit our milestones with precision:
• Medius Implementation: Leading the rollout for the DACH region and two UK entities.
• D365 Optimisation: Implementing robust Dunning and Collections processes.
• Customer Initiatives: Delivering the onboarding cash scheme for the 'Powerforce' project.
• Transformation Support: Providing finance leadership across various ad-hoc organisational initiatives.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Consultant Management: Act as the primary finance counterpart to external partners. You’ll review, challenge, and sign off on configuration and solution designs.
• Technical Oversight: Support Optical Character Recognition (OCR) training and configuration, ensuring alln Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are compliant with German local GAAP.
• Testing & Cutover: Own the finance-side UAT (User Acceptance Testing). You’ll be the final word on go-live readiness and defect resolution.
• Training & Hypercare: Empower our German commercial teams on new workflows and lead the daily support forums during the critical May/June hypercare period.
• Governance: Ensure every system design supports internal controls and maintains a clear audit trail.

What You'll Bring:

• You are a qualified accountant who thrives in the "grey area" of system implementations. 
• IT vendors just as well as you talk to Finance Directors.
• Proven experience leading finance transformation with specific Medius and Dynamics 365 implementations 
• A strong understanding of AP, AR, GL, and cash processes.
• Implementation track record and experience leading dunning or collections process rollouts and signing off on complex testing deliverables.
• Strong communication and the ability to escalate risks early and manage stakeholders across IT, Finance, and external vendors.
